As we all probably know, every year during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, a VS angel is chosen to wear the million dollar diamond-encrusted bra.

Super Angel, Heidi Klum, has worn the bra the most number of times (three) whilst Gisele Bündchen,Tyra Banks, Karolina Kurkova, and Adriana Lima have each worn the Fantasy Bra twice. The bras were originally only shown in the catalogues up util 2001 when they were shown at the runway shows.

The $15 million price tag for the 2000 bra worn by Gisele Bündchen earned the set a place in the Guinness World Records as the most expensive items of lingerie ever created. Thats a whole lot for a piece of underwear but hey…who am I?

2003 –  Klum ($11 000 000)

2004 – Tyra Banks ($10 000 000)

Orlando Bloom took some pics of his wife, Miranda Kerr, for the Rag & Bone DIY project. It’s the same project that saw other models like Abby Lee Kershaw and Lily Aldridge take those DIY shots of themselves. The idea behind the project is to show models without make-up and photoshopping.

Love these photos of Miranda, kinda missed seeing her around. Glad to find out that she will be wearing the Million Dollar Bra at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

On Wednesday, 19 October, the 6th episode of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 17 will air. I am so excited for this coming episode since it will feature one of my favorite models ever… Coco Rocha!

But for now, lets just recap on what has been happening this All Star Season.

Firstly, some of the contestants (luckily they’ve been eliminated now) shouldn’t have been chosen to go onto this cycle…as a major fan, I do recognize all the contestants but not all of them were fan favorites or even relevant. For example….Camille (Cycle 2) stayed to long IMO.

I have found myself loving Laura Kirkpatrick (Cycle 13) this cycle. I never really paid her mind during her cycle because I was all in for Nicole Fox to win (still my most favorite contestant EVER!). But she has upped her level and I’m loving it. Bianca Golden (Cycle 9) is probably the most model-esque contestant but you know Tyra and the fellow judges have a thing for kicking out… people that come across bitchy. I love her though…her and Angelea Preston (Cycle 14). Is Angelea not the funniest person?!

Another contestant I could do without is Shannon from cycle 1. So boring, I can’t. And I feel like Kayla isn’t getting enough camera time but hey.

I’m putting my money on Laura to win this cycle, with Bianca a close second.

Supermodel Miranda Kerr will be wearing this year’s Victoria’s Secret Million Dollar Bra dubbed the “Fantasy Treasure Bra” at the VSFS 2011.

Its great having her back in the show this year after her absence in 2010 due to her pregnancy. This got me super excited for this year’s show.

…I’m secretly waiting for the day they bring Gisele or Naomi back for a little cameo walk. I will be pushed out.

Beyonce’s style leaves me confused at times. Lord knows I love her music, but for a superstar of her stature that has access to clothes as soon as they come off the svelte models’ bodies on the runway, a personal relationship with fashion royal Thierry Mugler himself and a mother that has a fashion label of own, you would expect her to be a fashion icon or at least on the way there. Alas, that is not the case. Sometimes she gets it right, but most times I believe that she gets it wrong. She’s always a little off the mark in my opinion. I attribute her fashion missteps to the following key points:

Ghetto fabulous tendencies:

I blame her mother and her country roots. There’s nothing wrong with being country, but glittery get ups, big hair and over accessorizing are very Texan and have no place in the fashion world. This may work for her stage costumes and the sassy Sasha Fierce persona, but not in real life. It all appears a little too intense for the eye and it grabs more attention than is actually necessary.

Lack of direction:

I’ve noticed Beyonce try to pull of “Vivacious Diva”, “Trendy Hipster”, “Boho Artist” and “Glam but Carefree Balmain Wearing It Girl”. All I’m saying is, find a lane and stick to it…most of the time! Experimentation is great, I totally get that whole experimentation thing, but to be a fashion icon, which it seems you want to be, you need a signature style.

Aside: But I must say, at least her weave is always fresh as can be. At least we have that. Lol.

Victoria’s Secret angels; Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Miranda Kerr and Chanel Iman, each landed their own individual covers for the October issue of Elle magazine.

This just makes more excited for this year’s VSFS!! Like bouncing off walls excited!

Supermodel Iman was joined by fellow models to introduce Modelinia Beautiful Friends Forever (BFF) bracelets designed by nOir Jewelry. The bracelet was designed to help raise awareness for the Somalian famine. The bracelets are designed using the colors of the Somalian flag and are available for $35.

The models who joined the cause include; Karlie Kloss, Jourdan Dunn, Hilary Rhoda, Coco Rocha, Ataui Deng, Doutzen Kroes and Lily Aldridge.
